RED PARTRIDGE DRIVEN (OJEO)
The Spanish Red-legged Partridge (Alectoris Rufa) is a beautiful and strong game bird of spectacular flights and very appreciated by hunters. The speed and height of the red legged partridge depend to a large extent on the characteristics of the terrain and the direction of the wind.
The driven partridge shooting is a style of hunting typical in Spain from the end of nineteenth century. During the driven, beaters comb the terrain flying the partridges downhill towards the line of shooters, at the base of the hill. This is the moment when the shooters will test their owns skills against this strong challenging bird.
A dynamic, helpful and professional team of loaders (“cargador”) and assistants (“secretario”) will attend the shooters during the different drives.
